Firefox Extensions are programs in Firefox that allow users to edit the way Firefox works and add new functions to their browser. Firefox Extensions are most commonly used to add RSS readers and text editors to Firefox, but can be used for a wide variety of purposes. While “Firefox Extensions” can actually be used with many different Mozilla products, they are more popular for use in Firefox as it is, by far, the most popular Mozilla product. Firefox Extensions can also be created by any Firefox user, but are usually found in the form of pre-constructed applications that have many different tools, but allow users to customize which tools they want and which ones they don’t.

How To Find Firefox Extensions

Firefox Extensions can be downloaded from a variety of sources, but are most commonly found at the Official Mozilla Extensions page. Firefox Extensions can also be found at a variety of other websites for specific products, most of which are free, and may be located by performing a simple search engine search. Once you have found a Firefox Extension you might enjoy, you can click on the “Install Now” button found on the extension’s web page. If you are attempting to download the extension via a web browser other than Firefox, the web page will display a “Download Now” button, requiring the user to manually install the file. Because of this, users should always ensure that they are downloading extensions from within Firefox itself. A dialog will now appear prompting the user to install the extension or cancel the request. Once the user has installed the extension, a download manager will display the progress of the installation and will then allow the user to manage his/her extensions from the Add Ons page found in the Tools menu.

How To Use Firefox Extensions

Once a user has installed a Firefox Extension, the extension should automatically activate itself and may display a toolbar, window, or other form of user interface to allow the user to control the extension’s tools. Depending on the functionality of the extension, the user may be able to highlight text, change text font or style, or possibly simply manage other extensions. If the extension does not automatically activate itself, the user can still control the extension from the Tools > Add Ons page.
