Geocaching
Geocaching, in simple language, is a play of treasure hunt with modern GPS devices. It is an adventure game involving hunting down hidden treasure with help of digital GPS enabled devices. In order to participate in a Geocaching activity, a person only needs Internet and GPS enabled device. Many organizations and groups set up caches (treasures) all around the world and broadcast them on the Internet. A GPS user then uses his/her GPS device to navigate via coordinates and locate the hidden cache. The users who find the cache get highly rewarded.
A cache can come in many varieties, but the opening point should always be the logbook. In its most basic type, a cache can be just a logbook and nothing more. The logbook contains information from the originator of the cache and remarks from the cache’s visitors. A logbook might contain information about close by places, coordinates to other published caches, and even funny stories written by cache visitors. If you get some information from the logbook, you should give some back. At the very least you should leave the date and time of your visit to the cache.
A person needs a GPS unit to discover or spot cache positions and Internet access for contributing or discovering the coordinates. Once the GPS device is prepared, you will need to hook up to the Internet to start discovering cache positions or publish a cache that you have produced. Caches may be enormous or minute things safely hidden under rocks. Caches are rated by complexity and landscape. You may require some exceptional body gears to discover caches in intricate landscapes. The position and complexity of the cache exhibit the founder’s skilfulness and capability.
