An iPad is a tablet PC that Apple produced, which bundles the features of other Apple products such as the iPod Touch, Macbook, and iPhone. The iPad is capable of connecting to the Internet via several different methods, accessing applications from the Apple App Store and other sources, and even connecting to other devices. The iPad is based on touch screen technology, is extremely portable, and provides more processing capabilities than either a Macbook or iPhone.

What is Flash?

Adobe Flash (Flash) is an Adobe product that allows users to display certain types of media such as videos, games, and interface options. Flash is used in many different applications because of its appearance, speed, and functionality. For example, YouTube is based on Flash videos because it allows users to interact with the videos they watch by clicking on the next video, inserting comments into the video itself, or creating other buttons and/or links. Flash is also used in many browser based games such as Facebook games, in order to display characters and structures that the user can interact with. While most computers are compatible with Flash, many smart phones and other portable devices are not. Fortunately, Flash is available for all iPad models.

How to Get Flash

iPad users have several methods of accessing Flash based content. The new Adobe Flash Media Server 4.5 allows Flash content to be streamed without a Flash plug-in. While this software allows users to access Flash based content on Apple products such as the iPad, it is not yet available for all applications. As a result of this, users may still need to take advantage of any Flash player or web browser that displays Flash based content on iPads, such as Skyfire Web Browser, Photon Flash Web Browser, or Cloud Browse.
